National League to expand in 2009

2009 promises to be a fantastic year for the ARUK National League, as Aussie Rules continues to grow at an amazing rate in the UK.

Formed in 2007, the National League looks set to expand to 17 teams right across the UK:

North East - Middlesbrough Hawks, Newcastle Centurions, Hartelpool Dockers, Durham Saints, Sunderland Clippers, Gateshead Miners

North West - Manchester Mosquitoes, Liverpool Eagles, Leeds Bombers, Huddersfield Rams, Sheffield Thunder, Birmingham Bears

Southern - Sussex Swans, Bournemouth Demons, Chippenham Redbacks, Southampton Titans, Portsmouth Pirates
