AFL Match

For many years the professional Australian Football League (AFL) has played an exhibition match at The Oval in London.

In 2005 the West Coast Eagles played the Fremantle Dockers in front of 19,000 people and in 2006 Port Adelaide took on the Geelong Cats.

Children participating in the Aussie Rules Schools program were invited to play at half-time of the AFL match. It was an awesome experience for the kids as you don't get to play in front of a huge crowd every day!

The match was not held in 2007 or 2008. We look forward to the AFL returning to London in 2009.
