Sport Education
The Under-16 Aussie Rules league is run as part of our Sport Education Program. The main emphasis in this program is on shifting the responsibilities of organising and managing the program to the children. This allows participants to learn the skills necessary to not only play in an Aussie Rules competition, but also to organise, score, umpire and perform other roles that are involved with such a competition.
Aussie Rules UK Development Staff act as a facilitator of the program, so that the children involved can take more control of their competition.
THE PROGRAM
- The boys will learn the skills of Australian football.
- Provides a fun inter-school competition that is self administered by a group of children under the guidance of the Aussie Rules UK Development team and the supervising teachers.
